gon pulvo is the experimental electronic project of Washington-based artist Stephon X. Jones. His music moves between house, jungle, hip hop, ambient, bass and experimental composition, with each piece shaped by the sounds and structures it needs. Repetition, unusual sound design and narrative ideas connect a catalog that can move from club-focused rhythms to abstract textures, rock instrumentation or exploratory composition. Recent work includes the narrative-driven Boogeyman project and a range of standalone releases. Live, Jones performs with two Dirtywave M8 units, using them as instruments rather than playback devices. He sequences, arranges and reshapes material in real time, working transitions, effects and dynamics into a set that responds to the room. The performance moves between rhythmic focus, atmosphere and unexpected turns, adapting to different event contexts. gon pulvo is based in Washington's Puget Sound region and available for Pacific Northwest and regional bookings, with travel by arrangement.
